Adult Coloring Books

What are you doing with the Adult Coloring Pages after you have finished coloring them?

Let's think about This specific for a minute. You go out as well as purchase a coloring book, printed on thin paper, create beautiful artwork as well as then??? What?? the idea stays inside book???

I would likely like to suggest a different approach. First, let's start with good quality card stock.  Stamp the idea with lovely pictures, then place them on a base to display in your home, mail them to friends as cards or place them in an album with photos of your family.

Now in which you contain the idea, allow me to give you some truly easy instruction on how to make your coloring a one of a kind work of art. As previously stated, you need to start with good quality card stock. Stampin Up offers a variety of colors which will allow you to create on different shade backgrounds. Of course the Whisper White as well as Very Vanilla are the most popular, nevertheless don't forget some other colors. When you are planning to shade flowers, use colors like Pool Party, Pink Pirouette, as well as Sahara Sands to add more shade in your background. For nature scenes, try Smoke Slate, Crumb Cake or Mint macroon. Today's coloring books don't offer these great coloring palettes.

As for what to stamp for you to shade? Anything. inside ones I have posted below, I used several different stamp set. Some stamp sets were mixed with others sets. the idea does not matter if you create a picture or if you just use the same stamp over as well as over. The page will come to life when you add your shade. as well as the idea is your own design.

Speaking of adding shade! Let's think a minute about what kind of markers or coloring pencils you are planning to use.

Rule #1 Water as well as Oil don't mix....... Alcohol/Solvent as well as Water do not mix either.  With in which in mind; if you are planning to use water shade markers or coloring pencils, be sure to stamp in an solvent based ink, like Staz On. If you would likely rather use alcohol markers, use Memento ink. This specific way you never need to worry about your ink as well as markers bleeding on your page. ***Want a special trick?  Use your Wink of Stella like an aqua brush with your Stampin Up ink refills. NOW you are water coloring as well as adding glitter.***

Rule #2  If you are going to use water shade using a very wet page; get Stampin Ups water shade paper instead of using card stock. the idea has been my experience in which if you are only using a tiny amount of water to blend, Stampin Ups card stock is great. If you feel the area is getting too wet, just move to a different area giving the idea time to dry.

Rule #3 When using markers, use a light touch on the page. I love Stampin Up markers. The brush tip because allow me to add only the amount of shade I want on the page. You will feel like you are not even touching the page. Then, when I use the blending marker the idea just moves the shade around, creating blending easy.

Now enjoy coloring pages no one else has, because they are unique to you. You created them via start to finish.
