Learning to be a Ninja!
My daughter in addition to I commenced R.A.D. Systems physical defense classes last night. R.A.D. stands for Rape Aggression Defense. I've heard nothing however positive things about these classes. Our town police dept. is running a 5-session course for free so I figured why not! When I first asked my daughter if she wants to do of which she said "no way," so I let of which go. I asked one more time in addition to tried to entice her by saying she could learn to be a ninja. LOL (I don't know why, however she loves ninjas). The the day before the classes commenced she texted me at work in addition to said she wants to be a ninja. :)
Last night's class was about two hours of talk in addition to about a half hour of basic defense moves. Next week will be more intense with the entire class spent learning more moves. At the fifth class we'll be doing a simulation training, which sounds pretty intimidating to me! The instructors (all police officers) will attack us in addition to we have to defend ourselves in addition to get away. They'll expect us to yell, kick, punch, hit below the belt - whatever of which takes. Eeek! I'm normally pretty shy so This kind of is going to be a big challenge for me. I also can't picture my 14 year old daughter doing This kind of at all!
I guess This kind of could rate as one of those "step out of your comfort zone" moments.

Summer Bookmarks - Teacher Gifts
Before my twin girls were born, I taught math in secondary school. My students were so sweet in addition to also gave me many gifts at Christmas in addition to also at the end of the school year. I need 22 teacher gifts, so purchasing 22 bookmarks at a Barnes in addition to also Noble or Books-A-Million is not in my budget. Accountability Saturday - Sept. 29
Happy birthday to my Mom! She's 91 years young today!
Is the item Saturday already? This kind of week flew by for me! This kind of weekend's going to fly by too. I'll be at Mom's This kind of morning helping her with her housework in addition to celebrating her birthday. On Sunday, I'm attending a coworker's wedding. I'm going with three various other ladies through work - we're all leaving our husbands home. the item should be fun!
Now on to my accountability post... my week went something like This kind of:
Sunday: I tracked all calories in addition to took a 25 min. walk! My migraine headache through last Saturday disappeared overnight. I sold three items on Etsy - woo hoo! I bought some supplies for my fresh project.
The rest of the week I continued tracking calories faithfully on SparkPeople nevertheless I ended up having to raise my daily amount. I got too hungry in addition to which is not how I want to do This kind of. I learned on Weight Watchers which you should never starve or deprive yourself to lose weight. I dealt with two days of hunger, then read This kind of blog post by Go Kaleo in addition to gave myself permission to raise. I also got more exercise in! I walked in addition to I did a little Just Dance 2 with my daughter. Geez, I haven't done Just Dance in months. the item's like riding a bike - the item all came right back. :)

I don't feel as sluggish as I did. in addition to...for the past two nights I haven't felt so famished within the evening which I want binge on junk food. I tried to work on my fresh project a bit nevertheless didn't get as much done as I wanted. My husband was home on vacation all week in addition to we all know how which goes. He complained which I was creating too much noise so I had to try to work when he wasn't around (which was almost never!). I had a few technical difficulties which got within the way - equipment malfunctions in addition to a computer virus! Eek! The virus infected our desktop computer on Friday. My favorite shows finally began up in order which's keeping me happy at night - Survivor in addition to Grey's Anatomy. The Amazing Race starts tomorrow. Life is good!
