Most crap on the page!

My daughter as well as I went to the monthly crop at the LSS Saturday night. This specific month's crop was a breast cancer fundraiser in which ran by 10am to 10pm. Some people chose to do just a half day, which is what we did. One of the activities was a design contest using a page kit supplied by the LSS, which included a few sheets of double-sided patterned paper, a sticker sheet as well as white letter stickers. Everyone had the same kit as well as we were to use as many elements by the kit as possible. We could alter anything as well as add stuff by our own stash.

I used my own green cardstock for background paper, then used all the paper supplied to embellish the page. I used quite a few of the stickers as well. I cut the giant flower by one of the patterned papers, added Stickles as well as created leaves using a giant flower punch I had in my bag (also with paper by the kit). I inked the white letters with blue. The letters didn't come with any punctuation so I had to use an 'n' instead of an ampersand. I didn't bring many photos to the crop because I planned on working on some other projects so I left a spot to fill in later. I'll add a  photo of my husband as well as me as soon as I get one.

My design won for "most use of embellishments" which I renamed to "most crap on the page." LOL I won a 6x6 pad of patterned papers. I can't remember who the company is as well as I'm too lazy to dig the idea out of my tote. I also came home using a beautiful handmade fall table runner in which I won in a drawing as well as a goodie bag filled with all sorts of pink themed stuff including another pad of 6x6 papers. :)

My daughter's design won for "best use of photos." She used a bunch of silly pics of her as well as her best friend (who also goes to the crop with her mom - we always sit together). She also won a pad of 6x6 papers. She chose cat designs - no surprise!

the idea was a great night out with lots of laughs. I even managed to get a little bit done! lol
